Financing your Dubai purchase

We help you understand whether you can finance your purchase and on what terms, before you reserve. We guide you through the process and connect you with mortgage advisers.

Know before you reserve

The worst case is reserving and finding out later that the bank approves less than planned. That is why the first step is to check whether your purchase can be financed and how much you could borrow.

What the bank looks at

  • Your income and credit history.
  • Your current debts.
  • Your residency status.
  • The value and type of property.

Financing limits

The limits on what percentage of value can be financed depend on Central Bank rules and vary by case. For off-plan they tend to be lower. Always check the current conditions.

Mortgage costs

Besides the instalments, there are costs: valuation, mortgage registration and bank charges. We include them in your numbers so you see the full cost.

Buying off-plan with a mortgage

On off-plan, the mortgage usually arrives at handover. We plan with you where payments during construction come from and what to do if the bank approves less than expected.

Frequently asked questions

Can a non-resident get a mortgage?

In many cases yes, with different conditions from a resident. It depends on the bank and your profile. We guide you through the options.

Can I get a mortgage for an off-plan property?

It depends on the bank, the project and the developer. Most commonly, financing arrives once the property is finished. We check before you reserve.

What is a pre-approval?

It is an indication from the bank of how much it could lend you based on your profile. It gives you a reference for searching realistically, but it is not a final commitment.

Do you charge for this?

We explain the terms in writing before we start, including anything the mortgage adviser may charge.
